    Description

    You are bidding on a very rare original antique print from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
    It depicts a Scottish deerhound, as the breed looked about 150 years ago.
    The caption reads:  Le levrier d'Ecosse employe a la chasse des cervides
    which roughly translates to:
    The
    Greyhound
    of Scotland
    employed for
    the
    hunting
    of
    deer (deer-stalking
    )
    The page measures approximately 10.4 x 7.5 inches (26.5 x 19 cm). The picture itself measures about 3 x 3.75 inches, with a French caption below. It is surrounded by unrelated text. The extra text could easily be trimmed before framing.
    The page is in excellent condition for its age.
    There is text/photos on the back of the print.
    See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
    This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
