This portable Drilling Rig comes complete  23'  of rods and 4” x 24” auger head, and powered by 3hp, 2 stroke gas motor. It is capable of drilling up to 50 feet deep, 4-inch diameter hole

in Moderate Hard Type Soils for sampling and testing, and water wells.
The drilling rig is designed with simplicity in mind for easy assembling and transportation. It is operated by one person to cut the cost of field work. Why 2 stroke and not 4 stroke engine? 2 Stroke motor can be tilted horizontally for transportations and storage without damaging the motor. Whereas 4 stroke motor is NOT, because the engine oil will flood the carburetor and cylinder, a monumental cleanup job.

4” x 24” Steel Auger Head designed with two-sided blades to cut through soils and bring it up to surface. The auger head is designed for easy removing soil cuttings in the field. The flared out blades allow minimal contact of auger wall with soil, therefore require less torque to operate. (NEW) In addition the auger head has 2 inner lips to retain the soil.
Heavy-duty auger head and blades designed to drill 4 to 5 inches hole for field soil testing and fast drilling. The blade sides are studded with welds for additional strength. The Auger Head is hand crafted one at a time.
