Description

Hello and welcome to another Annabelle’s Auctions production. The only thing we love more than finding cool vintage stuff is offering the same swell items to you. We especially dig things from the Olden Days when Made in the USA was taken for granted. We will be listing a wide variety of items in the coming weeks and will of course always combine shipping in the interest of saving you dollars while saving us packing. Please read the entire description of the item and fine print below; placing a bid constitutes acceptance of all terms. And as always, thanks a bunch for looking!
We need to make room for new items so it's time for a Summer 2021 Sale! Dozens of items in our store will be slashed to just a flat or less! Grab these items while you can because if they don't sell soon we're going to donate them to a local charity! Thanks as always, and now on with your listing..
This is a rare original vintage Indy 500 shirt that is estimated to be from way back in the very late 1960's or early 1970's. This shirt is one of a dozen or so of this same shirt that we recently lucked into acquiring from a long-retired local vendor here in Indy, who told us they were never sold back when originally produced due to a misprinted placement of the word "of" that left them reading "Home the of 500" instead of "Home of the 500". Since then they've been sitting in storage as NOS (new old stock), more or less forgotten until we got our hands on them. We're going to list each of them individually because while they haven't been worn a couple of them do show small age blemishes, and thought we'd start with this one because it's in absolutely remarkable condition. It has no stains or holes, and the only real sign of it's age is some creasing due to being stored for so long. The graphics are all still bright and fully intact. It is an old-school 100% cotton Hanes, and is nice and thin the way an authentic vintage T-shirt should be. It is still wholly intact and absolutely wearable today, but it appears the natural fibers have shrunk a bit over the past half-century or so, because while it's tagged a size 38-40, meaning it should be about 19-20 inches across the chest, it's actually only 16 inches across. From top to bottom it's about 27.5 inches. This beauty screams with retro hipness, and would look great worn to the track this summer or simply hung on the wall as part of an Indy 500 collection.
Please check out our other listings for more cool and vintage things; we will of course combine shipping for multiple purchases. All offers will be considered so please don’t hesitate to shoot us one! Please email any questions, don't forget to read the fine print below, and thanks again for looking!
THE FINE PRINT:
REGARDING CONDITION: Because almost everything we sell is vintage, almost everything is no longer new and as such is being sold under a general heading of As Is. We describe everything accurately and go out of our way to point out flaws, but it is the responsibility of the buyer to ask any questions regarding any points of concern not covered in the item description. PAYMENT/SHIPPING: Prompt payment through PayPal is appreciated. Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay. If purchasing multiple items, please wait for us to send you a combined shipping invoice for the best possible shipping cost. We ship every other day through USPS, mostly through Priority or Parcel, but for LPs, books, DVDs and other eligible items we also offer Media Mail.
Media Mail is subject to inspection by USPS, and the Seller cannot be held accountable for any damage that may occur at the hands of clumsy USPS employees during shipment.
If payment is made before noon Midwest time, we will do everything we can to ship that very same day. RETURNS: In the unlikely event a refund needs to be requested, we reserve the right to issue a full refund upon return or no refund at all;
absolutely no partial refunds will be given!
The only negative feedback we have ever received came from someone trying to extort a partial refund through a threat of negative feedback, so if that’s your game please look elsewhere!
